During his career, William Stanley Haseltine traveled and drew in France, Holland, Belgium, and the Netherlands. He also summered in Bavaria and the Tyrol during the 1880s and 1890s. His paintings of Sicily and Capri were particularly popular with American tourists who were visiting Europe.
